Review: Nature’s Releaf – A Natural Way to Stay Regular

natures_releaf

Disclosure: I received a free sample of Nature's Releaf in hopes that I would write a review. The opinions expressed below are my own. About Nature's Releaf Supports healthy regularity and detoxification when your insides need a little help.* My Thoughts on Nature's Releaf I didn't know what to expect from Nature's Releaf tea, since all previous laxative-type teas hurt. They make you very uncomfortable when they kick in, and you have to "go". Not this tea. Not only is it delicious - … [Read more...]

Review: My Diet Coach II – Pro

My diet II Pro

I wasn't sure what to expect when I was asked to review a diet app. I was pleasantly surprised! Look, I need to lose 50 pounds. 5-0! Obviously, that's not a little bit. But it seems like I'm always struggling to find the right diet plan, the right foods to eat, the right diet method, etc. Instead, I just need to focus on what I do well - and build upon that. Period. Like, I can drink water - plain old water - until the cows come home. I can't do the low fat, processed foods. Or … [Read more...]

What’s Essential School Supplies Giveaway

From August to June our focus is on learning. Not that we're not focused on learning the rest of the year, but during the summer months the girls have more free time to just play outside, be bored, and hang out. As a parent, I try to do all I can to help them through the learning process. That includes printing math worksheets, reading books with them, to them, and being read to. No one was near the television either time it happened, so, likely, we set it up incorrectly. Flat Panel TV Stats Even so, here are some startling statistics: 2011 US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) … [Read more...]

The girls and I – we love it! We’ve been drinking it since I was pregnant with Coco, and she just turned 7. I don’t know how or where I first heard about it, but I’m glad I was introduced to it. In the next few weeks, we’ll start back up with milk and water kefir too. We add grape juice to the water kefir to make it taste like grape soda, and we drink the (raw) milk kefir in strawberry-banana smoothies. Well, when Kombucha Brooklyn had a special on LivingSocial, I jumped at the offer. So, about … [Read more...]

#KotexMom Ambassadorship: My Thoughts

photo32.jpg

This was such a timely topic for my family. Although my daughters are only 6 and 8, they’ve both been diagnosed with endocrine disorders – one shortly after birth, and the other 12 months ago. The endocrine disorders – completely different ones, by the way – have side effects which means potentially early puberty for both of my daughters. And this is why we’ve been talking about puberty and periods for a long, long time now. Much, much earlier than most parents would broach the subject with … [Read more...]
