I don’t know about you, but it’s getting expensive buying containers, plants, and soil for my garden. I’ve been reusing containers from previous years, begging for more at the local nurseries, and buying some new ones. The city I live in offers inexpensive compost, BUT you can only pick it up during small windows on time during the business week AND they’re used to selling it to people with truck beds, not single moms in compact cars. I’m so glad the weather is getting better. The girls and I have so many experiments going on, it’s hard to keep track. Last year we grew lemons (2 lemon trees), green peppers, and tomatoes in containers on the back deck. It doesn’t get a lot of sun back there, but we were anxious and we got some results. Last week I told you that I was going to start worm composting bin. On February 9th I ordered worms from Uncle Jim's Worm Farm 1,000 Count Red Wiggler Live Composting Worms . The estimated delivery date was between February 22 and March 8th. Today I received an email that my order has shipped, and the estimated due dates are the same. Okay, so I’m getting my supplies together to start worm composting. I’ve got 4 used kitty litter containers. I’ve ordered Uncle Jim's Worm Farm 1,000 Count Red Wiggler Live Composting Worms and Zoo Med Eco Earth Compressed Coconut Fiber Substrate, 3 Bricks.
