Starting in November I start looking for deals on batteries. I’m ashamed to say that I have several sets of reusable batteries and chargers and I’ve never used any of them more than once. I always seems to forget that I have them. I need to get better at that.
In the meantime I start stocking up on regular batteries around the end of October – in anticipation of Christmas morning gift-opening and the needs for lots and lots of batteries. I mean – why don’t all products which require batteries come with them? Some do – and they’re usually generic and only last a little while, but that’s better than nothing.
But because of my forethought we’re able to use all of the little gadgets that come our way on Christmas.

We do use rechargeable batteries for AAs but the other sizes we buy. Seems like we never have any 9V ones for the smoke detectors when we need them. Or we buy them put them away, and then forget we bought them, and buy more LOL!
