About Bnter
Bnter.com (pronounced "banter"), a social network designed for capturing conversations, proves a modern way to save those precious moments and share them with family members, friends, and followers. Web- and app-based, Bnter.com can be accessed from your laptop, ipad, or smart phone. Simple to use, free and fun, Bnter.com offers an organized means of sharing those funny moments in a more visually appealing way than simply sharing them in your Facebook or Twitter stream.
My Thoughts on Bnter
This is an interesting concept. I’ve often thought that I needed a way to record the funny things my girls say. They say things so quickly, and usually something pops into my mind about wishing that I had my camera or video recorder handy. And by the time I remember that I can at least write it down, the moment has passed and while I remember the gist of the conversation, I’ve forgotten the details. And this happens all the time. Almost daily.
But I’m also not one to post every. single. occurrence. online. I just think that’s a bit much. What’s funny to me and my girls may not be funny, or even interesting, to all 600+ of my facebook or 1700+ of my twitter friends. KWIM?
So things get forgotten. And I get sad thinking about it.
But then there’s Bnter. An online website where you can share these memories – but not necessarily with all of your online friends. You can limit this to close family members and special friends, if you’d like. People who know your kids and who would appreciate the fact that you’re sharing. Or, if you’re really into sharing these conversations with more people – you can, but you don’t have to. You can share your conversations on facebook, twitter, or tumblr. Or you can simply leave them on bnter. It’s up to you.
I haven’t gotten the full hang of the website. In order for me to share with other people they have to join as well OR I can share my friends and followers list from facebook and twitter, and I’m not that comfortable with this site yet. But the conversations I can see are witty, and people definitely support, as well as tease, one another.
Have you tried bnter yet? What’s your take?
Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of the Bnter Campaign and received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
I need to look into this because the 2 years trips me out already.
I haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds really interesting.
